Karol is a native of Texas & spent most of her adult life there, with just a short 12 year stent in Anaheim, California as a child. She likes to say that she got to Colorado as quick as she could, moving here in 2006, where she lived up in the mountains. Her happy place is still in the mountains, though she moved down into the Springs in 2019. Whenever weather permits, you will find her up there either hiking, skiing or camping.

Karol is a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT.R) with a 2nd certification in Bone Densitometry (BD). She went to x-ray school right after graduating from high school & she will tell you that it was a wonderful career with lots of opportunities for her & her family. She took x-rays in hospitals & clinics in the Houston area and East Texas for almost 20 years. She then began working in sales of x-ray supplies & equipment so that she could continue to learn new things about her trade & broaden her horizons. She traveled around Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and parts of Montana during her sales career. After 25 years in sales, Karol retired her suitcase & went back to taking x-rays, working for a clinic group here in Colorado Springs. In 2020, she decided to make a career change, going to work for a local assisted living community.

Karol is” Mom” to one daughter, and “Adventure Grandma” to three grandchildren. Two others (now young adults!) have adopted her as “Adventure Grandma” also. She loves spending time with her family & friends!

Karol joined Liberty Heights Retirement Community in May of 2023 as their Business Development Coordinator. She likes to be considered a master networker in the Pikes Peak area senior living world. She regularly meets with people from all sorts of industries, most also working with seniors. She loves to make referrals & connections within her network.

Karol has worked with seniors her entire career & proudly finds herself a senior now as well. She has been actively involved in the Senior Resource Council since the summer of 2020. When people ask her what groups they need to be involved in to connect with like minded folks who support seniors, the SRC is always at the TOP of her list!
