Tammy is a native of California but has lived in Colorado since 1987.  In 1992, she got married and moved to Colorado Springs. She married an Army soldier, and they were blessed enough to be in Colorado Springs for 19 of his 20 years. They currently reside in Fountain, just 2 miles from Ft. Carson’s Gate 20. 

Tammy has been in the advertising/marketing field since 1991. She worked for an advertising agency in 1991 and then got engaged to be married. Soon after she was able to find a job with the Colorado Springs Gazette. She worked for the Gazette for 10 years and then left to go work for the Colorado Springs Military Newspaper Group. Then she worked at the Air Force Academy doing security work from 2001-2003. In 2003, she returned to the Colorado Springs Military Newspaper Group and the Colorado Springs Business Journal. In 2012, the papers were sold so she left and worked for USAA for about 14 months. Then in 2013 she returned back to the Colorado Springs Military Newspaper Group where she remained until 2022. Then in 2022 she returned back to the Gazette and was there for about 1 year and was recruited by KRDO News Radio (where she is currently working).

Tammy has 2 children who are grown. Her daughter, Emily, is in the Air Force Guard, and is stationed at Buckly SFB. Her son, Joshua, graduated from high school in 2024 and currently works for Tammy’s sister at a Chick-Fil-A in Aurora, CO.

Tammy is a huge networker and enjoys being a connector to people in town. She and her husband are still trying to get adjusted to being empty nesters. They are exploring different hobbies to keep them busy.
