This event is open to the general public with a focus on adults age 50 and older. Senior Resource Council members are encouraged to attend as part of their membership and anyone interested in staying active, connected, and engaged as they age. You do not need to be an athlete or currently active to attend.
Yes! The Champions of Active Aging Mixer is free and open to the community. Registration is encouraged to help us plan.
No. This event is open to both SRC members and non-members, as well as seniors from the broader community.
Attendees will enjoy a dynamic and interactive evening featuring:
- A moderated discussion panel focused on healthy aging through movement
- A sport demonstration or interactive activity (light and accessible for all ability levels)
- Sport and program registration tables to explore opportunities for staying active after 50
- Networking with senior-serving organizations, advocates, and peers
- Light food and refreshments

Yes. Light refreshments and beverages will be available throughout the event.
The SRC Active Aging Scholarship provides financial support to adults age 50+ to help cover participation costs for the Colorado Senior Games. The scholarship is designed to reduce barriers and encourage lifelong movement and wellness.
Yes. Information about the scholarship, eligibility, and application process will be available at the event, and staff will be on hand to answer questions.
No. You can attend the mixer whether or not you are currently registered for the Senior Games. Sport and program registration tables will be available if you’re interested in learning more.
The moderated panel will focus on why staying active after age 50 matters, including physical, mental, and social benefits of movement. Panelists will share insights, experiences, and practical ways to stay engaged at any ability level.
Yes. The Senior Center is an accessible venue. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, please contact us in advance.
