Member Benefits

The General Membership meeting is a free quarterly event held on the third Wednesday in January, April, July and October.  At this meeting, time is reserved for networking and socializing, as well as a program and educational information about a particular aspect of our senior community, introduction of new members and announcements of upcoming events that impact seniors.

Dine and Develop is a fun event, held typically each quarter on the third Wednesday in February, May, August and November.  This is a networking event with a continuing education presentation that focuses on topics relevant to businesses and individuals who serve seniors. Cost for the luncheon and presentation for non-members is $20 with a reservation, or $25 at the door.

Council Connections is a free quarterly event held during the months of March, June, September and December. The location of the meeting varies as do the sponsors.  Each Council Connections has an educational component as well as an opportunity to connect with the SRC and learn more about member events, upcoming SRC events, and other council happenings.

The SRC is very active in producing and promoting events for and about our senior community. There are numerous sponsorship and volunteer opportunities for SRC members with these great events. Service to the public is the wonderful by-product of Senior Resource Council membership.

  • Educational Series for the Community (Summer) – Businesses and organizations come together to provide information, education, offer health screenings, plus prizes and fun!
  • Holiday Dinner Dance (Winter) – A time for seniors to gather together and enjoy a delicious meal, wonderful entertainment, and dance the night away while SRC members host and serve them, free of charge to the seniors!
  • Joe Henjum Senior Accolades (Spring)– An evening reception that honors and awards individuals and businesses in the community that have gone above and beyond to help seniors in the Colorado Springs community.

Get the dates from the SRC online calendar into your schedule so you don’t miss out on any important events. Pay for your events and sponsorships, and get more information about upcoming events. The Member Directory is included on the website, providing the public and fellow members with trusted referrals of SRC members.
